I think when I get overtired and overwhelmed I get irritable. I almost lost it today when the bag boy today at the grocery store bagged my items .. but really I only purchased 4 things (besides my gum).. do they REALLY all need to be in separate bags? Do I look like I want to carry 4 grocery bags?? Is this really maximizing efficiency?? Maybe I'm just being mean but, if your job is to put groceries in a bag, do you think you could at least realize that each item doesn't need it's own bag?
Other pet peeves...
* speed traps .. especially when they have a pre-made ticket for you. I was once pulled over in a car that wasn't even mine and had a very expired registration. The cop didn't even notice, he just inserted my name on the already-made ticket and we both went on our merry way.
*splenda and fiber in everything. I'm eating Corn Pops right now, and noticed that they are a good source of fiber. Do we really have to pretend that corn pops are healthy? Do people really think cookies with splenda taste good? No, and they usually eat double the amount to boot. Has anyone actually lost weight eating fake crap? Just eat normal food. If you eat healthy things enough of the time, you won't have to pretend to like the other shit.
*reality shows. People are becoming famous for being total whores and idiots. How did that happen?
*fast food chains trying to be healthy. McDonald's is now selling oatmeal. Gross.
*giant suburbans that have those little stick figures representing all your kids. I think this is a Utah thing.. but it's ridiculous.
*dog strollers. That, I'm pretty sure is a Boca Raton thing..but seriously 1) your dog doesn't need to come to the shopping mall and 2) your dog can walk...
There are more, but that's as much as I can think of for now. And I don't want to be annoyed anymore :)
You made me smile a genuine smile, and that is a good thing. Loved it. *demands more pet peeves*
ReplyDeleteThe stupid stick figure people are all over here too and also, the damn dog strollers.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I was reading something online (searched but couldnt find it) and it said McD's was a healthy place to eat...I canNOT remember their reasoning.
I don't think we have those stick figures..Or they're a rarity.
ReplyDeleteI know for a fact I have never seen a dog stroller in Maine. One more reason to visit :)
